Dr. Ian Shadrick has over 16 years in education, disability and rehabilitation services, counseling, administration, and public health. He holds a doctorate of education in special education leadership and educational leadership, with dual master’s degrees in rehabilitation teaching and counseling. He is currently a Blind Rehabilitation Specialist at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, and an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Special Education at Hunter College (City University of New York-CUNY). Ian is married and a proud father of two sons.
I have spent my professional career ensuring equal access to education, services, and training for students, families, and community members, wheter in public or private education, higher education, rehabilitation settings, or as a state program administrator for children with disabilities from birth-21. I have served in several leadership roles in organizations and committees at the local, state, national, and international level; working to improve education and services for education, workforce development, rehabilitation, and community resources. I have worked to expand opportunities and ensure access for all. I look forward to putting my experience to work for your students and family to strength our schools and community.
